1. Amplified Music Discussion (Lareina)
Applies to electrically amplified music.
Mind the bees and the wildlife.
The village reached consensus on after hours live amplified music policy.
“Amplified music is not permitted in the Village after Sweep during the
Fair unless approved by Village consensus by the last Village meeting
in June. Thursday evening sound checks are permitted.”
“In the event amplified music is approved by Village Consensus, the
guidelines are:
1. The act ends by 10PM.
2. The act to not exceed a predetermined sound level.
3. The act provides their own sound system including power.”
2. Diversity Discussion
Involve Rainbow coordinator in bringing discussion forward.
One idea: Manifest signage in diverse languages.
Specifics given for how village is not welcoming?
How could we as a community better identify gaps so we can fill them?
Chayonne: Presents her qualifications to speak to topic. Encourages nuance.
John Alexander: Posted ideas on proposed workshop on diversity and inclusion in conservation movement. See the DRUM.
Kelsey: One simple thing is to greet and welcome newcomers.
Lorna: Eugene city training on addressing micro-aggressions. Land acknowledgements.

3. Village Theme Discussion (Sam)
Process began with a brainstorm, followed by a poll.
Results of poll are presented for discussion and next steps.
Dea: Spirit Booth uses theme in the opening ceremony, requests serious them for cohesive ceremony.
Sara: Let’s include top vote getters and write-ins in new poll.
Lareina: Yes
Kelsey: Anything over 20%?
Sam: Let’s use number of votes rather than percentage. 15 votes or more
Village: Should we just let Sam decide?
Village reached consensus to conduct a final poll and reconvene next month to choose theme.
